The American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and its International TradeUSA Department held for the 4th consecutive year, their annual ExportUSA Forum, the only forum in Greece focusing solely on exporting to the US Market. The 4th ExportUSA Forum, Exporting in a Shifting World, took place on Monday, November 4, 2019 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel Athens.

The Forum hosted distinguished US and Greek field experts, providing the delegates with the opportunity to acquire valuable knowledge on the US market and its consumers and to gain insights on how they can successfully penetrate this dynamic market.

The digital era has fundamentally shifted assumptions on how individuals do business and engage with companies. As the global movement towards a digital future continues, consumers are shifting beyond price, taste and emotional considerations into higher-ground messages of brand trust and transparency, challenging existing business models. To this end, this year’s ExportUSA Forum addressed the following key topics:

-Analysis of the US Market & Consumer Shifting Preferences

-The role of technology in the supply chain

-Export Journey: From the Greek farm to the US table

-Export compliance responsibilities and useful supportive tools

-How digitalization is changing exports

-Latest developments regarding bilateral trade

In addition, AmChamGR Executive Director, Elias Spirtounias, had the honor to have a one-on-one discussion with the Deputy Minister of Rural Development & Food, Mr. Konstantinos Skrekas with regards to the priorities set and the initiatives that will be taken by the Ministry for the enhancement of production in high demand products, the adoption of new technologies and modern environmental standards, and the attraction of young people in agricultural and livestock sector.
