The Northern Greece Committee of the American–Hellenic Chamber of Commerce had the distinct honor of hosting the new U.S. Ambassador to the Hellenic Republic, Kimberly Guilfoyle, on her first visit to Thessaloniki, at a dinner held on Thursday, December 4, 2025.
Vice-President of the Chamber, Vassilis Kafatos, welcomed the Ambassador, and highlighted the close relationship between Greece and the United States, built on shared values. He referred to the dynamic U.S. investments in the region – particularly in technology, innovation and education – and noted the opportunities for reinforcing Greek-US economic cooperation.
Ambassador Guilfoyle emphasized that strengthening bilateral commercial ties is one of her top priorities and expressed her commitment to supporting partnerships that foster growth, create jobs, and expand opportunities for both countries.
Chamber members and business leaders engaged in a productive discussion with the Ambassador on Northern Greece’s key economic sectors and prospects for enhanced transatlantic cooperation.
