The American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce invests in an ongoing effort to highlight current Sustainable Development trends for a realistic vision for the future of Greek society and economy. In conjunction with its Corporate Responsibility Committee, the 18th annual CR conference, Tribes: Joined by Purpose, was held on October 19, 2020 at Hilton Athens Hotel in a hybrid mode (limited physical presence and extended virtual participation). The conference, through a multidimensional theme, focused on our connecting continuous drive for purpose-driven business and sustainable change.
“Tribes for business” was presented for the first time in Greece as a new business approach that reflects changing societies. At a time driven by sustainability, the need for contemporary business to evolve around purpose and to listen to the tribes seeking purposeful change has emerged. Consequently, the corporate message is no longer limited to consumer demographics, but aspires to persuade and mobilize purpose-bound tribes, within and outside the company, consisting of consumers, employees, investors, or any stakeholder group. Conference delegates gained insight on embedding a tribal mindset into core business strategy, by adopting values that bring people together, as strategic element of purpose-driven business.
