Greece’s Defense Industry Showcases its Expertise and Capabilities at the Association of the US Army (AUSA) 2019 Annual Meeting

Committed in its efforts to support Greece’s high value-added industries in the international markets, the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce organized for the the 6th consecutive year the Hellenic Pavilion at the Association of the US Army (AUSA) 2019 Annual Meeting. Held under the auspices of the Ministry of National Defense, and in collaboration with the General Directorate for Defence Investments and Armaments (GDDIA) and Enterprise Greece, the Hellenic Pavilion consisted of eleven of the best Hellenic industries, either private or state-connected ones: Hellenic Defence Systems (HDS), Hellenic Aerospace Industry (HAI), Intracom Defense – IDE, Theon Sensors, Systems Sunlight, Alpha Systems, Common Booth for SEKPY and HASDIG Member Companies: AEL JV, Aeroservices, Altus LSA, Aeroservices, Miltech. and DEFEA Exhibitions Athens.

The Inauguration – Ribbon Cutting Ceremony of the Hellenic Pavilion was held Monday, October 14 attended by military executives from various countries and representatives from U.S. firms.

During the inauguration ceremony of the Hellenic Pavilion Ms. Ann Cataldo (DASA DE&C) congratulated Theon Sensors on its successful partnership in U.S. with Elbit Systems of America (NV) for beating and winning the recent U.S. Marine Corps Program for the Squad Binocular Night Vision Goggle (SBNVG).

Held every October in Washington, D.C., AUSA is the largest land warfare exposition forum in North America. The three-day event brings together the biggest names in the industry and attracts over 30,000 attendees, including senior officials from the Department of Defence, members of Congress, industry leaders and foreign dignitaries.   AUSA has become a flagship event for the modern Army and a fitting platform for Greek defence companies to meet potential new clients and strategic partners, build international brand exposure, and showcase their offerings alongside other international contractors.

During the 2nd day of the Exhibition the announcement of the organization of the U.S. Pavilion at DEFEA Exhibition Athens 2020 took place with the participation of representatives from U.S. firms.

The 2nd exhibition day closed with Alpha System’s Announcement of its partnership with Summit Aviation.
