The 3rd AmChams Regional Economic Summit (ARES 2026) concluded successfully in Sofia, Bulgaria, reaffirming its position as one of the region’s leading platforms for economic dialogue, cross-border cooperation, and business connectivity.
Co-organized by the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce, AmCham Bulgaria, and AmCham Türkiye, this year’s Summit brought together more than 200 participants from government, business, international organizations, investment agencies, and the wider AmCham network, while facilitating over 100 targeted B2B meetings designed to foster new partnerships and investment opportunities across Southeast Europe, the Eastern Mediterranean, Central Asia, and beyond.
Building on the success of the previous editions in Istanbul and Athens, ARES 2026 once again demonstrated the importance of regional collaboration in addressing today’s rapidly evolving economic landscape. Discussions focused on the opportunities and challenges created by geopolitical developments, digital transformation, energy security, investment, infrastructure, manufacturing, and regional competitiveness, highlighting the critical role of public-private cooperation in shaping sustainable economic growth.
As a co-organizer, the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce was proud to contribute to the continued development of ARES as a strategic regional initiative that strengthens business networks, promotes cross-border investment, and encourages meaningful dialogue between the public and private sectors. Through high-level discussions, strategic networking opportunities, and structured B2B meetings, the Summit further reinforced the value of strong transatlantic partnerships and regional cooperation as key drivers of long-term prosperity.
The Summit also reflected the growing strength of the wider AmCham network, bringing together American Chambers of Commerce from across Southeast Europe, the Eastern Mediterranean, and Central Asia, while further expanding opportunities for collaboration among businesses, institutions, and policymakers throughout the region.
The American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce extends its sincere appreciation to its co-organizers, AmCham Bulgaria and AmCham Türkiye, as well as to the institutional partners, sponsors, speakers, partner AmChams, and all participants whose contribution ensured another successful edition of the Summit. A special thank you goes to AmCham Bulgaria for its outstanding hospitality, excellent organization, and leadership in hosting ARES 2026.
ARES continues to evolve as a premier regional platform connecting governments, businesses, and institutions, creating new opportunities for investment, innovation, and sustainable economic growth across one of the world’s most dynamic regions.
