Zozo Lidoriki, Chair of AmCham Greece Culture Committee, participated in OLYMPIA FORUM VII, held from September 29 to October 1 at the International Olympic Academy in Ancient Olympia.
During her intervention, she highlighted the importance of investing in culture through the message “Invest in Culture,” emphasizing that a meaningful alignment between Culture and Entrepreneurship is a fundamental prerequisite for creating sustainable growth and new opportunities. She also underscored that positioning culture as a destination (destination culture) can play a decisive role in achieving year-round tourism, enhancing the attractiveness and competitiveness of Greek destinations throughout the year.
Furthermore, she presented a new nationwide initiative currently being developed by the AmCham Greece Culture Committee, aimed at promoting emerging artists and strengthening their international reach and visibility. The initiative will be implemented in collaboration with Greece’s 13 regions, fostering stronger connections between the country’s cultural talent and broader national and international networks.
The central theme of OLYMPIA FORUM VII was “Development in an Era of Major Transformations: Technology, Energy, Production and Resilient Regions.” The forum served as a platform for dialogue on the major challenges and opportunities shaping the future of Greece, Europe, and the wider international community. Discussions covered a broad range of topics, including artificial intelligence, production, financing, tourism, culture, and international cooperation.
Bringing together representatives from government, local authorities, regional administrations, the scientific and academic community, as well as leaders from the business and productive sectors, the forum highlighted ideas and initiatives capable of strengthening the resilience of local communities, creating new development opportunities, and contributing to the sustainable regional growth of the country.
