With a focus on the contemporary challenges of leadership and the need to overcome stereotypes, the talk “Unfiltered Leadership: Leadership beyond labels and stereotypes” took place on May 4, 2026, creating a space for meaningful dialogue, inspiration, and exchange of experiences.
The event was co-organized by the Human Resources Master’s Program of the Athens University of Economics and Business, in collaboration with the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and its Women in Business (WIB) Committee.
Myladie Stoumbou, Chair of the WIB Committee, and Peggy Velliotou, member of the WIB Committee, shared personal experiences from their professional journey, as well as their perspective on modern leadership. They referred to challenges, stereotypes, changes, and the modern, constantly evolving work environment.
Professor Maria Vakola, Director of the Master’s Program, stated: “Changes come through the ‘communities of the willing,’ namely through people who think and act in a similar way, share common values, and believe in the power of collaboration.”
Graduate and undergraduate students, along with faculty members, actively participated in the event, creating a dynamic and interactive atmosphere through insightful questions and engagement.
