The American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with its Corporate Social Responsibility Committee, is holding its 15th annual CSR conference, INCLUSIVE CITIES & ENGAGED CITIZENS: REBUILDING OUR SOCIETY SUSTAINABLY on November 6, 2017 at the Benaki Museum. At this preeminent event delegates build CSR awareness, learn about new opportunities, and develop more meaningful corporate social responsibility practices.
Cities need more than ever to be sustainable and should offer the kind of quality of life and opportunity that make people want to live in them and make businesses want to invest. Urban areas drive economic development and deliver many public services, such as education, healthcare and transportation; but they are also associated with environmental degradation, congestion, economic and social exclusion. The design and adoption of new products, services, and business models are needed to achieve business, social and environmental success. This begins with bringing together municipalities, business and citizens to improve urban life through more sustainable integrated solutions.
CSR is a tool to increase the quality of life for citizens in urban areas as well as to increase the efficiency of companies, enhance innovative sustainable growth and positively contribute to our society. Our conference aims to drive social development in the urban and regional environment. To this end, this year’s conference will focus on four pillars: Entrepreneurship & Growth, Education, Urban Innovation, and Public Service & Engaging Citizens.
Our successful initiative, the CSR Marketplace, will showcase best practices by local companies and organizations and is designed to encourage even more interaction, dialogue, and sharing among conference participants.
